ABOUT
Kate Godfrey Robinson is a visual artist based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Working across ceramics, painting, drawing, and installation, her practice is inspired by the forms, textures, and rhythms of the natural world.

Robinson received a B.A. in Studio Art from Tulane University in 1980 and has maintained an active studio practice for more than four decades. Her recent ceramic work explores organic growth, transformation, and the interplay between structure and erosion through hand-built sculptural forms and experimental glazing techniques. She has studied with London Clayworks since 2016 and has attended residencies and workshops at Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Village, Colorado, and Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Her work has been exhibited at the New Orleans Museum of Art's Art in Bloom exhibition and at Simone Stern Gallery in New Orleans. Robinson lives and works in New Orleans, where she continues to develop a multidisciplinary practice rooted in observation, experimentation, and a lifelong engagement with making.
